Madelyn Chubb's Obituary
Madelyn Chubb passed peacefully away in Tyler, Texas on September 30, 2011. She was the loving wife of Richard Chubb to whom she was happily married to for 31 years. Madelyn was born June 6, 1934 in Bremen, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Helen Feild and one sister Carmen and survived by one sister Lynn. Madelyn was the devoted mother of four daughters Michele, Robin, Sherrye, Shellye and her husband Randy and one son David and his wife Laura. She adored her six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Madelyn worked for Ribelin Sales in Garlan, TX for 31 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Athens, TX and the Pinnacle Women’s Club of Cedar Creek Lake. The memorial service will beheld at the Presbyterian Church in Athens, Tuesday, October 4 at 10:30 AM. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 AM at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5 with graveside services at 11:00 AM in Restland Memorial Park. The honorary pall bearers are the six grandchildren; Nickolas, Justin, Christye, Turner, Cassye, and Joshua. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
