Mae ( Mimi) Buswell's Obituary
Mae (Mimi) Buswell, passed away on August 31, 2017. A long-time resident of Dallas, Texas, Mae was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on June 19, 1924. She came to Dallas in 1965, and soon after began working in the relocation field until her retirement at age 75. An avid reader and traveler, she loved animals, movies, music, children and her country. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by a large family, including her three daughters: Susan Eason of Austin, Texas; Jan Hawkins of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Linda Lamb, and her husband Bryan of Allen, Texas, her ten grandchildren and their spouses, her nine great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. A church service honoring her life was held at The Church of the Transfiguration with a private interment at Restland. In her life, Mae was a generous and caring woman who believed in giving back to those less fortunate. Memorial contributions to honor Mae’s life, may be made to The Arc of the Capital Area in Austin, Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or to the Church of the Transfiguration.
