He was 75 years old. Mai Nguyen was passionate about spending time with his family and friends. He loves to join and help in local Vietnamese community’s organizations. He was a member and participating in Quang Da group, Binh Dinh group and Vietnamese- Boy Scout of America. He was a strong willed and hard working man all of his life. He was a loving, caring Father and Grandfather. He was always there for his children whenever they needed. He raise his children to be healthy. strong adults and gave them directions in life. He was a Father, Grandfather and most of all, he was a best friend anyone could have. He loved gardening and always collect things that he think might be useful later. He loved watching soccer whenever not busy with his garden. He’s also the type of person that doesn’t shy to share with you his honest thought. Even in the last day of his life, all his concern is about his love ones left behind. He had never complained about the pain of illness suffering his body. It’s just because of one reason; he did not want to bother his kids. We love you Daddy and you will be missed dearly. Open your wings, flying high and we will see you on the other side. He is survived by his wife, Lan Huynh of Allen, Texas; son, Viet Nguyen and wife Giang Chu with grandsons Darrell Nguyen and Richard Nguyen; daughter: Yen Nguyen and husband Khai Bui with granddaughter Angela Sui and Lauren Sui; son Nam Nguyen: and many loving nieces and nephews in Vietnamese and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26th from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery. Memorial service will be held on the same day at 3:00 PM.
