In Loving MemoryMaitland Anne MacIntyre WellsApril 1, 1934 – April 17, 2018 Maitland Anne MacIntyre Wells, 84, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on April 17, 2018. She was born on April 1, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee to Ralph Yorke MacIntyre and Maitland Anne Osborne MacIntyre. After graduating from the University of Alabama, where she was a championship diver and tennis player, Maitland married Malcolm (Mac) Roderick Wells Sr. in Birmingham, Alabama. While Mac was in the Air Force, they were stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, where she worked as a property supply clerk, resulting in various commendations. Maitland worked for Richardson Credit Union (currently Legacy Texas Bank) for more than 20 years. Previous to her work life, Maitland was very involved in her children’s activities. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Leader, a Sunday School Principal at Saint Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano, and an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor for the city of Richardson. She also formed a bowling team, and in her later years, Maitland enjoyed her retirement by traveling and spending time with her family. Maitland opened up our worlds to history, literature, Greek mythology, Shakespeare, and so much more. One of her favorite activities was to perform as an extra for the Dallas Opera. She enjoyed cards, crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, bowling, pool, family life, and cooking. Her premier dish was macaroni and cheese with sour cream. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Wells of Chicago, Illinois and Lisa Santos of Frisco, Texas; son, Malcolm Wells of Dallas, Texas; and two grandchildren. There will be a graveside service on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park, near the Garden of Reflection.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
