Major Ray Slider was born on September 23, 1929 in Kaufman, Texas and passed away September 11, 2014 in Robinson, Texas. Preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Slider, his sister and his parents. Survived by daughters, Ruth Ann Slider of Lewisville, Texas, Sandra Fay High and husband, James of Robinson, Texas; grandchildren, Richard Calkins and Andrew Calkins of Lewisville, Texas, Phillip Slider and wife, Sara of Robinson, Texas, Brandy Swank and husband, Paul of Waco, Texas and great grandchildren, Kaden and Kinley Slider; and our special angel, Lillian Joy Swank. Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave and Restland Rd in Dallas, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238
