Mamie Jane Johnson (Ford)'s Obituary
Mamie Jane Ford Johnson July 3, 1931 – July 31, 2022
Who could not ask for a beautiful spirit, full of love, kindness, knowledge, faith and true love of God? Mrs. Mamie Johnson was just that. Mamie loved working in the earth, planting fruit and vegetables in her garden; she’d always say, “I am a country girl.” Each encounter with her you were sure to get a song, a poem, or a story; maybe all 3 if you were lucky.
She loved baking cakes, if one was too dark, in the trash it went. She perfected the pound and German chocolate cakes. A true devout Christian, she lived her life by the word of the Lord. She was an active member at Hamilton Park United Methodist Church serving in multiple capacities, but her favorite being the Alter Flower Guild. Mrs. Johnson, as she was affectionately known by all her day care kids, was a part of the Hamilton Park UMC Daycare staff for 49 years. She was the true definition of the Giving Tree, always making sure those in need received and would make sure no child was left behind.
Loving mother, wife, caregiver and shining example of a worldly treasure.
She was a lover of arts: music, poetry, crafts, baking, you name it. It’s likely you have tasted her cooking or have a Bazaar craft she made in your house.
She left an impression on the lives of so many just by being herself. We all love and miss you, beyond words, but we know you are among the angels, family and friends- praising Our Heavenly Father, forever. Amen.
