Manuela Lopez Lyles' Obituary
Manuela (Nellie) Lopez Lyles left us on February 12th, 2023, with her family by her side at the age of 67 in Austin, Texas.
Nellie was born October 27th, 1955, to Jose Lopez Sr. and Petra Coronado, in El Paso, Texas. She later made a life in Dallas, Texas with her set of triplets and first husband. She had a passion for reading and gardening, but most importantly a passion for making memories with her family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Petra Coronado, and her first and second husbands, Jeries Lyles Sr, and Paul Downing.
Her interests included gardening, reading, sewing, crafting, and spending quality time with those dearest to her, her family, especially her grandkids. She devoted much of her time and energy into her sewing crafts, and making blankets for not only her family, but friends, and kids in need as well.
Nellie leaves to cherish her memory: two brothers: Jose Jr. and Arturo Lopez; four kids: Manuel Lopez, Desirea, Jessica, and Jeries Lyles Jr; eight grandchildren: Danica, Arianna, Maya, Kayla, Jeries III, Jayden, Mikaella, and Jalissa Lyles; and three great-grandchildren: Josiah, Melalina, and Elyas Lyles, along with some in-laws, and some extended family, and friends.
"Dear Family of mine,
I have had my troubles, and problems, but also great blessings, such as you all, my family. You, my kids, my grandkids, brothers, and mother, were my reasons to continue for I would’ve been nothing without you. You all gave me a whole new meaning to family, and responsibility. I love you all very much, and just know you were always in my thoughts and heart constantly. The laughter never stopped, and neither did the love. I was so blessed to have been a part of your lives, as y'all were everything in mine. I didn’t leave with regrets, I left knowing that although a golden heart stopped beating, and working hands at rest, God finally called me home, saying He only takes the best. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still, in your hearts you’ll hold a place, no one else can fill. Remember I love you, and one day, we’ll meet again.
-Nellie, (Mommy, Grandma, & Sister)
