Marceline Lively's Obituary
Marceline Hendrick Lively was born October 1, 1928 in Alto, TX and passed away on June 18, 2016 in Mesquite, TX. She was raised in the community of Lynches Chapel in Alto and moved to Houston when in high school. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston, TX. She married Preston E. Lively from Grapeland and they lived in Arlington and Garland where they raised two children Nancy and Randy. Marceline enjoyed her family and friends and loved laughing. Ever the prankster, she loved to tease and have a good time. She was a wonderful cook and made the best fried chicken and corn bread. She leaves behind many warm memories. Marceline is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Lively; daughter, Nancy McGee; father, Frank Hendrick, and her mother and step-father, Meddie and Hugh Goff; brothers Joe Bob Hendrick and wife Annie; E. F. Hendrick and wife Oneta; sisters Rosa Thompson and husband Blackie; Molene Wallace and husband Thomas; Lorene Ivy and husband Othel; Evangeline Bowden and husband J.B.; and Billie Frank Hendrick; She is survived by son Randy Lively, grandson Christopher Slaughter and 2 great granddaughters Kendra and Sadie Slaughter. A memorial service will be held at Lynches Chapel Methodist Church in Alto on June 26 at 2:00 PM Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
