Marcelino Rodarte, 89, of Dallas, Texas passed away on October 10, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on June 2, 1931 to Daniel Rodarte and Felipa Ureste in Georgetown, Texas. He married Ida Valerie Adrienne Mankin on March 3, 1956 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Dallas City Maintenance and Electronics Technician at Geo Tech for 35 years. He was a member of The American Legion and the Oasis Church at Lakeview in Rowlett, Texas. He served in the Army from October 9, 1951 to September 24, 1953 as Private First Class E-3. He received a Good Conduct medal, a Korean Service medal with 2 bronze service stars, a United Nations Service medal, and a National Defense Service medal. Marcelino was a man of faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Redden of Palestine, Texas; son, Philip Rodarte of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Matatall and Ryan Taylor Rodarte; great grandchildren, Zechariah Way and Keziah Candace Way.
He was preceded in death by Ida Valerie Adrienne Rodarte.
