Marcille McKelvy's Obituary
Marcille was born on May 31, 1928 in Shreveport, LA as the only child of Tom and Melvin McGuirt and passed away on May 19, 2023 in Dallas, TX. Survived by her loving husband Bob of 74 years and mourned by many friends and loved ones. She graduated from Fair Park High School and Centenary College in Shreveport with a B.A. Degree in Art. She and Bob were married in 1949 and moved to Dallas that same year. She was employed in the Dallas office of The Home Insurance Company for several years before retiring.
Her home away from home was East Dallas Christian Church where she was a Church Librarian for over 60 years. She served as a Deacon and on many committees as well as the Women’s Groups. She was a longtime member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and of the Thai Christian Foundation.
A graveside service will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Dallas Christian Church, PO Box 140009, Dallas, TX 75214.
