Maren Sue Devine's Obituary
Maren Sue Devine, of Dallas, Texas, died July 25, 2024, at the age of 63. Maren was born October 3, 1960, in Orlando, Florida to the Reverend H.A. Thorson and Gloria Melby Thorson and was one of four siblings. Maren was a wonderful and loving mother to Madeline and Charlotte. Maren made her living as an artist and had cultivated a vibrant business. Her art made people happy and gave a glimpse into her life filled with faith. Maren was married to the love of her life, Paul Devine, from 1995 until his death in 2017. Maren loved spending time with Madeline and Charlotte, family and friends. Maren brightened any room she entered and was a joy to be around. Maren loved music and sharing it with people. She could sing or whistle any song. She loved to travel and was always ready for a trip, especially with Madeline and Charlotte. Maren was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Thorson, husband, Paul Devine and father, Reverend H.A. Thorson. Maren is survived by her loving daughters, Madeline and Charlotte Devine, brothers, Tim Thorson (Cecilia), Jack Thorson (Charlene) and sister Krista Dunham (Ron). Maren is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, many Devine family members in England and loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 6121 E. Lovers Lane, Dallas, Texas 75214. A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10 AM with a reception immediately following at another location.
