Margaret Hunter Adamson's Obituary
Margaret Hunter Adamson went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, December 17, 2020. She was born January 13, 1953 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to the late Richard and Earline Hunter. She grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Margaret had a deep love for the Lord and her family, particularly for her five grandchildren: James, Laura, Noel, Nathaniel, and one in heaven, Brooklyn. Her greatest joy in life was being Grammy. She had a special name for each grandchild.
Margaret was an artist in many ways. She enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing, and crafting. This Christmas she made clothes for each grandchild. She also had an appreciation for God’s creation. She especially loved her dogs she had through the years. Margaret dedicated herself to homeschooling her three children all the way from preschool to high school. She was very active in their home school group.
Margaret’s love for the Lord and studying caused her to spend hours doing Bible studies at her desk each morning. She was a dedicated prayer warrior. She was very active in church, especially at Household of Faith, which she attended for the last 16 years of her life. Her most memorable ministry to the church was her cards. For every member of the church, she would send birthday cards, anniversary cards, and sympathy cards.
Margaret had the most beautiful smile. She was a blessing to everyone and loved by all who met her.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dave; her children, Hannah, Emily (J.B.) and David (Shelby); her sister, Cathy and brother, Richard. She is also survived by a host of loving extended family members, beloved friends, and her dog Bernie.
Maggie, Meg, Margy, Aunt Margy, Mom, and Grammy, you are loved so very much and missed immensely. While we miss you here on earth, the celebration you are experiencing in heaven is beyond words. Because of your faith in Jesus Christ, we know that we will see you again.
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
