Bowen, Margaret Oletha's Obituary
Margaret Oletha Bowen, born September 19, 1942, to Jeff Allen Clements and Christine Clara Clements in Commerce, TX, passed away November 9, 2024. Her family moved to Mesquite in 1949, where she later graduated from Mesquite High School in 1961. She worked at First Citizens Bank before having children. When her children were older, she worked for Rockwell International which later became Alcatel.
On May 10, 1963, she married Freddie Mitchell Bowen. Jeffrey Mitchell was born in1965 and Sharon Denise in 1967. Oletha is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Freddie Bowen; her parents; her sister, Ruth Lauriece; and brothers, Henry Thomas Clements and William Eugene Clements.
Oletha is survived by her son Jeff Bowen ( Laura ) of Georgetown and daughter, Sharon ( Kevin ) Mcllroy of Dallas; grandsons, Brandon ( Mandi ) Bowen of Timaru, NZ; Kyle ( Ashlyn) Bowen of Abilene; Daniel Mcllroy of Durango, CO; her sister, Joan Thompson of Allen, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on November 16, 2024, at 10:00 am with a visitation 1 hour prior at Saturn Road Church of Christ, 3030 Saturn Road, Garland, TX 75041. Oletha requested memorials be made to Saturn Road Church of Christ Harvest Sunday in lieu of flowers. The family asks that something colorful be worn to the service to celebrate Oletha's life.
