Margaret Jane Campbell's Obituary
Margaret (Peggie) Jane Campbell, 74, born and raised in Dallas, TX, completed her journey on Earth on August 13, 2025, and departed for her loving reunion with family and friends at the gates of Heaven. She carried a gentle and profound love for all life, was a true “old soul,” and left a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering optimism.
Peggie, as many of you knew her, was the daughter of Hank and Thelma Fisher. She was born on March 27, 1951, in Dallas, TX. Her brother, Chip, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter Kristin and husband Scott McKenzie, and her son Brandon Cody; her grandchildren Trevor and Shelby McKenzie, Blake and Rachel McKenzie, Savanah and Luke Tully, and Tayden Cody; and her great-grandchildren Gauge and Addilyn McKenzie.
Peggie touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a loyal and loving friend whose relationships were deep and enduring, built on trust, empathy, and laughter. She was a constant source of support, a confidante, and carried a genuine desire to bring joy to those around her.
Her passion extended to her “four-legged” friends as well. Her home was always a haven for shelter dogs, each one cherished and given a second chance at life. Her compassion went beyond her own pets; she was known for feeding and caring for neighborhood cats, a simple act that reflected her gentle heart.
Her spirit was deeply connected to the ocean. The ebb and flow of the waves mirrored her serene and calming nature, and it was where she found peace and solace.
It brings comfort to our hearts to know that Jesus, who walked each step of her journey, was there to guide her home to rejoice with all those she had missed so dearly.
Peggie will be remembered for her sweet and kind soul, her unwavering optimism, and the quiet but powerful impact she had on everyone she met. Her love for life was a gift to all who knew her. Though she will be missed greatly, we know she was welcomed with open arms, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel. We ask everyone to wear a vibrant color that reminds you of Peggie, as we celebrate the life she lived and the colorful soul she shared with us.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Operation Kindness would be greatly appreciated.
