Margaret Ann Clausen's Obituary
Loving mother and grandmother, Margaret Ann Clausen, got her wings on August 13,
2023 at the age of 64 after a long battle with Lupus. Born in Dallas, TX on January 12, 1959 to
Gerald Lee Pankey and Margaret Joan Longpine, Ann was one of five children. She attended
Skyline High School in Dallas and was a lifelong North Texas resident. Her career was spent in
service of local schools in Garland and Irving as a teacher’s aide and beloved secretary in the
front office. After more than 20 years of working in public schools, she retired in 2014 and
relocated to the Plano area to be near her daughter and son in-law. In March of 2016, Ann’s
dream of becoming a grandmother came true as her daughter welcomed a baby boy. As an
animal lover with a soft spot for special needs pets, Ann spent many weekends volunteering at
pet adoption drives around the metroplex and caring for her own special needs pets over the
years. Our beloved Ann is survived by her daughter Bianca, son in-law Adam, and her grandson
Jack.
In honor of Ann’s memory and her unwavering love for animals, the family kindly
requests financial contributions be made to the SPCA of Texas. www.SPCA.org
