Margaret Elizabeth Denton's Obituary
Margaret Elizabeth Denton was born on January 29th, 1954, in Pilot Point, Texas. She passed on June 27th, 2025, in the city of Denton, surrounded by loved ones. She lived a long life full of creativity, adventure, and growth–showing her strength in various situations and always finding a way to make things better. She left things more beautiful than she found them and found inspiration in everything she touched.
A true artist, Meg followed her heart, and it led her to many places, careers, and people. From the mountains of New Mexico to the beaches of Cozumel, she had a knack for finding friends and the best local spots. With several successful careers including barber, graphic designer, massage therapist, and jeweler she was no stranger to hard work and found comfort and confidence in working with her hands.
An avid animal lover, she would tell you that as a child she always had a frog in her pocket. Her nurturing spirit carried into her adult life, too. Margaret was always surrounded by animals; she loved them dearly, and they were drawn to her, as if they knew she was a safe place. She was a safe place for people, too–always there to offer support and guidance.
Margaret will forever be carried in the hearts of those whose lives she touched and the people she loved. She leaves behind a family of artists, chefs, gardeners, singers, and writers. We will always and forever carry her with us in everything we do. All of these wonderful gifts she gave us; the beautiful outlook on life we now have because of her.
Wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt–her spirit lives on in her family, and her essence in nature itself. From the dragonflies in the sky to the blooming flowers around our feet and everything in between, reminders of Margaret are all around us.
“In this life, I was loved by you.”
