Margaret Elliott's Obituary
Margaret Patricia (Pat) Elliott died Saturday, October 17, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Pat was born February 28, 1931 in Paris, Texas to Clyde L. Grimes and Desda Inez (Hood) Grimes. Pat was a 1948 graduate of North Dallas High School. She and her late husband, Addison Roy Elliott, were married April 24, 1953. Pat took bookkeeping and accounting classes to enhance her skills throughout her career as a bookkeeper. She worked for Richardson Savings and Loan, Pyramid Corporation and Yamini Construction as well as several other businesses after living in Odessa, Texas, where she worked for Spaulding Realty. She held a real estate broker’s license for many years. Pat was an accomplished seamstress and spent many evenings sewing after putting in a full day at the office. She enjoyed playing Forty-Two and Spinner at the many family holiday gatherings held at her and Addison’s house. Survivors are daughter, Myra Paulk (Mike); son, Rod Elliott and daughter-in-law, Evalyn Carson Elliott. Grandchildren are Rachel Paulk Brown (Adam), Michael E. Paulk, Allison Elliott Beach (Michael), and Erin Elliott. Pat is also survived by sisters Betty Davis and Carol Raines and brother, John P. Grimes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Addison Elliott; parents, Clyde L. Grimes and Desda I. Grimes; and brothers, Clyde L. Grimes, Jr. and Gerald Grimes. She was a Baptist. A graveside service will be held at Restland Cemetery, Section T, on Tuesday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
