Margaret James Freeman's Obituary
Margaret Harvin Freeman, age 98, of Dallas, Texas passed away on April 23, 2019. Margaret was born on May 17, 1920 in Dallas, Texas to Bertha and Hamilton Harvin and was welcomed by her older brother Hamilton Miles.She attended the Park Cities schools. After graduating from Highland Park High School she attended SMU where she met Zeb Freeman. They were married March 14, 1942. They had 59 years together before his death May 23, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband Zeb, brother Hamilton, and her parents.She is survived by her children Zeb Michael Freeman (Stephanie) and Nancy Freeman Barragan ( James), five grandchildren Shane Freeman, Misti Whalon (John), Ashley Bass (Preston), Culley Barragan (Lara), Elizabeth Barragan, and five, great grandchildren Zoe, Presley, Aubrey, Blakely, and Caroline.Our deepest appreciation to the staff and nurses at Edgemere. Thank you Beth, Vickie, Edna, and Hanna.Margaret was a patient, loving, and devoted mother and Gamma. Family came first no matter what. Some of her favorite sayings were: “This to shall pass” and “Today is the day the Lord has made rejoice and be glad in his song.”.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 29, 2019 at Restland Wildwood Chapel 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas.Funeral arrangements for Margaret James Freeman have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
