Margaret Munnell's Obituary
MUNNELL, MARGARET MARTIN passed away on August 14, 2013, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ted Clark Munnell; her parents, William Douglas and Ruby May Martin; and her sisters, Helene Martin Belgard and Dudley May Martin. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Lynn Munnell; son, Douglas Martin Munnell and his wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Cassandra Ruth Munnell and Timothy Clark Munnell; and sister, Betty Ray Glover. Marge was born in Forrest City, Arkansas, on December 30, 1922. She grew up in Helena and Stuttgart, Arkansas, graduating from Stuttgart High School in 1939. Marge married Ted in 1957 and they moved to Dallas, where she became active in her church and community. She retired from SMU after working there for more than 15 years. Marge was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will always be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. She was a charter member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Park Cities Presbyterian Church at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 19.
