Margaret O’Hara (maiden name, Margaret Modi) fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 A.D. Margaret was born in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 27, 1930 A.D. Margaret’s mother and father hailed from Ada, Oklahoma and Beit Mery (Arabic for “the house of my Lord), Lebanon, respectively.Margaret’s siblings, each of whom had fallen asleep in the Lord, were Audie, Betty, Juanita, and Edward. Upon her having graduated Rogers High School (Newport, Rhode Island) in 1948 A.D., Margaret’s mother and father moved to Bronx, New York. In 1952 A.D., Margaret married James O’Hara. James, born in Queens, New York, in 1928 A.D., was a World War II veteran. James, who retired after a 30-year career with the United States Postal Service, had fallen asleep in the Lord on February 3, 2006 A.D. Margaret and James had three children — James (1954 A.D.- 1976 A.D.), Susan (1956 A.D. – 1990 A.D.), and Scott (1960 A.D.) Margaret’s activities included cleaning the Sanctuary at Saint Mark The Evangelist Parish in Plano, Texas, reading, bicycling, and gardening. Margaret, who loved America, was very patriotic. Margaret was friendly and helpful to people throughout her life. Margaret loved her family. Margaret’s family included beloved granddaughter Kristen DeLizza, Paul DeLizza (Kristen’s husband, as well as his family ‘s provider and protector), and great-grandchildren Ashleigh DeLizza, Matthew Delizza, and Madelyn DeLizza. Deo gratias (thanks be to God) for our beloved Margaret. Margaret loved God — Father, Son, Holy Ghost — the Blessed Virgin Mary, and all the Angels and Saints. Just prior to her having fallen asleep in the Lord, Margaret had received the Anointing of the Sick. Fewer than 24 hours prior to her passing from this world, Margaret had received Holy Communion. Requiescat in pace, our beloved Margaret. We love you.
