Margaret P. Schmalz's Obituary
SCHMALZ, MARGARET PASCHE Our precious mother went home to be with her loving Savior, November 9, 2008. She was born August 27, 1920 in Houston, Texas to Albert E. Pasche and Lady Pauline Pasche. She was raised in Dallas, TX where she graduated from Forest Avenue High School and later attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. She married J.P. Schmalz, Jr., her loving husband of 50 years, on December 26, 1942. She is survived by her children, Paul Schmalz of Houston, Texas and Gretchen and Clay Pirkey of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by her brother, John Edward Pasche of Cedar Hill, Texas. She was the beloved grandmother of Paul Schmalz of Houston, TX., Andrew Pirkey, Jonathan Pirkey and Lauren Pirkey of Dallas, TX and the great-grandmother of Daniel, Kristin, Ashley and Joshua Schmalz of Houston, TX. She leaves behind her loving nieces and nephew, Yvonne Pasche White, Jan Stephens and Mark Pasche. As her life was a joyful expression of her Christian faith and in honor of her late brother, Albert T. Pasche, memorials may be made to the Pasche Institute of Jewish Studies, 4010 Gaston Ave., Dallas, TX 75246; Jim R. Sibley, Director (214-818-1309) jimsibley@pascheinstitute.org. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
