Margaret was the stepmother I have spoken about so often and with such admiration because her life was a true testament to the way the Lord works through affliction. Though she was bound to a wheelchair and physically dependent on others, her spirit was never confined. Margaret’s strength, grace, and unwavering faith drew people to her and gave her countless opportunities to demonstrate and profess her love for the Lord. She never complained — she simply loved. I was blessed to be with her during her final days and to witness the tremendous love surrounding her from family, friends, and caregivers alike. I especially want to thank my cousins, Kelly Fay and Howard Keeling, whose steadfast devotion and loving care carried Margaret through so much of her life. Their faithfulness to her was a beautiful reflection of the love she gave so freely to others. I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mustang Creek Estates and Hope Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Margaret and for the kindness they extended to me while I sat beside her. Please pray for our family as we gather for tomorrow’s service, and pray for me as I share remembrances honoring a woman whose life reflected extraordinary strength, enduring faith, and unconditional love.
