Margaret Ella Stauffer's Obituary
Margaret Ella Stauffer was born on April 19, 1924 in Paducah, Kentucky and passed away March 29, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Stauffer; daughter, Margaret Elaine Johnson. Margaret is survived by sons, Jim Stauffer and wife, Carole, Jack Stauffer; daughters, Becky Wells and husband, Jack, Barbara Bratcher and husband, Wayne, Jenny Buchanan; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Patsy Bryant and numerous other relatives. Margaret Stauffer was a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and aunt to many. The love and joy she brought to our lives will not soon be forgotten. The door to her home was always open – welcoming friends and loved ones to stay for an hour, a day, or even for years to come. She treated every child as if they were her own. Many afternoons she would be found sitting on the floor playing with them and having a wonderful time. Mom and her husband Ed were the best kind of people. They were hardworking and honest, full of love, and generous beyond belief. There is nothing they wouldn’t do for those that they loved. Holidays were always spent at Granny, Mom’s house. Her unbelievable humility spread in everything she did. To Mom, her holiday meals weren’t anything special, but those meals and the time spent together meant the world to us. Margaret hasn’t had the best health these past couple of years, and its been a difficult journey trying to take care of her like she has for us her entire life. Mom – we love you and miss and know that now you’ve gone to a place where your kind, loving spirit can live forever. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Margaret Stauffer will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 3, 2017 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
