Margie Louise Hogue Snow's Obituary
SNOW, MARGIE LOUISE HOGUE 87, passed away Monday, March 24,2014, at the Village Care Center in Indianola, Iowa. Born September 3, 1926, in Rains County, Texas, to Roby and Clara (Woodson) Hogue, Margie lived most of her life in Texas. She was educated in rural schools near Point, Texas, and at Adamson High School in Dallas. As a young woman, Margie worked at Magnolia Petroleum and later at Motor Parts Depot and at Chance Vought Aircraft Company in Dallas. Until her retirement in 1991, Margie worked for 23 years as the accounts receivable manager at Skotty Aluminum Products Company in Irving, Texas. On July 5, 1949, Margie married Bert Clemmons Snow (deceased) and is survived by their children. Margie is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Karen Sue George and son-in-law, Bill of Lucas, Texas; daughter, Pamela Kay Roe and son-in-law, Dick of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Teresa Louise Vander Linden and son-in-law, Brad of Indianola, Iowa; and by her grandchildren, Billy George (Cindy), Ryan George (Kristy), Richard Roe (Katie), Kate Roe, Emily Roe, Avie Vander Linden, and Douglas Vander Linden; great-grandchildren, Hunter George, Gia George, Summer George, and Skylar George; her numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, J.W. Hogue and his wife, Ava. During the last four years of her life, Margie lived in Indianola, Iowa, and made many friends while there. Margie also lived for a time in Peace River, Canada, and Chicago, Illinois, and traveled many places with her family after her retirement, but her happiest days were those spent at her home on Belmead Lane in Irving. It was there at her home with its lovely pecan tree and roses, that she raised her daughters and enjoyed the company of her family, friends and neighbors, who could always count on Margie for something good to eat, a hot cup of coffee, a game of dominoes or cards, and her kindness and love. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Village for the love and care they gave Margie. Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 29,2014, at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas with visitation one hour prior to the service.
