Margie Ledean Lancaster's Obituary
Margie Ledean Speake Lancaster of Garland, Texas, was born on October 3, 1931 and passed away on January 19, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luddie Lee Lancaster; twin sons, Gary Dean Lancaster and Carey Gene Lancaster in 1971; parents, Fount Benjamin Speake and Pearl Alice Dykes Speake; two sisters, and four brothers. Margie is survived by her son, Dwight Lee Lancaster of Canton, Texas; granddaughter, Heather Renee Lancaster Screws of Rowlett, Texas; grandson, Bryan Lee Lancaster of Garland, Texas; great grandsons, Colby Wayne Warner and Elijah Olen Lancaster; and great granddaughter, Paige Elaine Lancaster. Margie worked as a beautician and cosmetology instructor at both Marinello Beauty College and National Beauty Schools. She was the owner of Advanced Hairstyles, and served as a Texas Certified Peace Officer for 17 years for the City of Dallas. Margie was an active member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Garland, Texas for 54 years. The service for Margie Lancaster will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home at 9:30am, with burial following in the Valley View Garden located at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lavon Drive Baptist Church to Dick Leeteh.
