Marguerite Sturdivant's Obituary
Marguerite Stokes Sturdivant passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at the age of age of 96. For the last 4 years she lived in Dallas. Marguerite will be loving remembered by her three children-Robert, Daniel, & Lynn. In addition to her three children, she is survived by six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who affectionately called her “Granny Boo.” Born in Bunkie, LA in 1922, Marguerite was predeceased by her father and mother, Clifton and Linda, her three sisters, Dot, Roselyn, & Lois, and her husband, Robert C Sturdivant. She enjoyed teaching handicapped and disadvantage students in San Antonio, was an active member of several Baptist churches in Midland and San Antonio, TX, & Oklahoma City and Fort Smith AR. Her hobbies included playing tennis which she did regularly with her friends at the Fianna Hills Country Club in Ft Smith and fishing with her husband. Independent, generous, and resilient, Marguerite will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX 75243.
