Maria Leandra Garcia's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we the family of Maria Leandra Garcia, announced she has joined her heavenly family on October 25, 2020 at the age of 77. She was born on February 27, 1943 by her birth parents Eugenio and Guadalupe Caballero and later adopted by Pablo Aguirre and Teodora Caballero. Maria was born in New Braunfels, Texas but later moved to Flint Michigan in the 1960’s and finally resided in Richardson, Texas. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joel J. Garcia of 37 years; her much loved children: Rachel, Margaret, Daniel, Fred and Lucy; beloved 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She is also loved by numerous relatives, friends and her Walmart family.
Mom has such a loving and caring heart that easily overflowed to anyone who just stood next to her. She took great pride taking care of many elderly people by becoming a Certified Nurse Tech and Private Sitter. Mom loved casinos, her lottery scratch tickets and was an avid book reader especially her word search books. She also loved watching her Law and Order shows. She loved discovering Mexican restaurants with her husband and enjoyed attending our many family gatherings. She is an extreme social butterfly who loved to boast about her children and of their accomplishments. We will miss our many updates of potential bad weather even if it was in entirely different state. She took delight in creating many scrapbooks, which has left us all with a legacy of beautiful family memories we will treasure for years to come. Mom your unconditional love and warm embrace is and what will be greatly missed. “Though she be but little, she is fierce” - Shakespeare
