Maria Cecile Parker's Obituary
Minister Maria Cecile Daniel Parker was born January 15, 1946 to Sam and
Lolita Daniel. She was the oldest of four children born and raised in New
York. She accepted Christ at an early age. She received her High School
education from Washington Irving in Manhattan. At age twenty she enlisted
in the Army. While in the Army she stationed in many places, she enjoyed
herself and gained a had a lot knowledge and had a lot of
accomplishments. In 1978 while stationed in Fort Knox, KY., Minister
Parker met and married Pastor Parker.1986, after serving twenty years and
six months she retired from the Army. In 2017 Minister delivered her initial
sermon at First Baptist Church Irvington.
We rejoice with Minister Marie C. Parker in this time of transition. She is no
longer suffering the effects of declining health. She is now living in the
spirit, renewed and whole for all eternity. She will be missed, loved and
never forgotten.
Minister Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lolita
Daniel; a sister, Barbara Daniel, and a brother, Winston George. She
leaves to cherish her memories: Pastor Emeritus William L. Parker, Sr., her
spouse of 45 years; a brother, Steven George; and her children, Adrian
Parker(Regina) of Rineyville, KY; Stephanie Lewis(Deryck) of Celina, TX;
Fontessa Booker of Kileen, TX; William Parker, Jr.(TeAndra) of Vine Grove,
KY; Demetrius Parker, Sr. (Tasha) of Aubrey, TX; Yohance Parker of Dallas,
TX; and Lolita Cartwright of Lexington, KY; nineteen grandchildren and
twenty-three great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Restland Funeral home in Wildwood Chapel March 7th, 2024 at 2pm, Following a reception at Restland event center.
