Mariam Moberly's Obituary
Mariam was born April 2nd, 1922 in Arrowsmith, Illinois to Elton and Floss Builta.
1 of 10 children, Mariam is preceeded in death by sisters Dorothy and Beverly, and brothers Abe, Jake, Bill, Warren, Jay and Sparky.
Survived by her sister Mrs. Phyllis Hudson of Dallas, Texas.
Survived by son, John Moberly and wife, Cassandra, grandson, Steven Moberly and wife, Lauren, grandson, Logan of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter Stacey Agens, and husband Luke Agens.
Survived by son Jeff Moberly and wife Carla, grandson Scott Moberly, granddaughter Addyson, grandson Oliver of Rockwall, Texas; granddaughter Meredith Wish and her husband Michael, granddaughters Avy and Claire.
Back in the mid to late 1940's, Mariam, along with sisters Beverly and Phyllis, would sing on the radio to boost morale in their county in Illinois.
After marrying George V. Moberly on December 4th, 1943, Mariam started her career in Bloomington, Illinois with State Farm Insurance Company. They eventually moved to Texas in 1951. Mariam then went to work for Crown Zellerbach, once a major paper manufacturer in Texas. The business eventually sold to James River Inc. where she worked until 1990, retiring at 68 years old.
Mariam was kind, loving and generous to all and was truly a blessing. She will dearly by all that knew her.
