HAYS, MARIAN HELEN “DARDY” OLIPHANT On June 24 ,2012 Marian Oliphant “Dardy” Hays of Colleyville, Texas left this earth and entered the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was born November 1, 1940 in Mobile, Alabama. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Hays, children and their spouses and Grandchildren; son Kevin Kenneth Hays and wife Suzan and their children Ashley Sayers Hays and Walker Branyon Hays all of Birmingham, Alabama; Daughter Laura Elizabeth Hays Collins, her husband Patrick B. Collins and their children Hays Patrick Collins and Sayers Millege Collins of Frisco, Texas; son, Stephen Roderick Hays and wife Christine Creek Hays of New York, New York. Dardy was preceded in death by her parents, Captain R. F. Oliphant and Laura Elizabeth Sayers Oliphant life long residents of Mobile, Alabama. Dardy was a graduate of Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. While in high school, she served as organist in her church. While at Baylor, she was chosen as one of twelve Special Freshmen girls. She taught numerous Sunday School classes and Bible studies over the years. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and Sunday School for over 22 years. Dardy has been an active participant in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) as student and leader for over nine years in Grapevine, Texas. In April 1989, she and her husband, Kenneth, became associated with Premier Designs, Inc. in Texas. Premier became a very important part of Dardy’s life as she touched many lives across the U.S. She served as an Independent Representative in sales and for a while served on Premier’s corporate staff as National Training Co- ordinator. She won and was awarded many awards with the most recent being the company’s Spirit of Service Award. She loved life, people and valued her family above all else this side of Heaven. Dardy is now at her Eternal Home with her Lord and Savior whom she loved and sought to serve all of her life. Dardy will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 27 in the Faith Chapel of Prestonwood Baptist Church, Park Blvd and Midway Road Plano, TX. with Rev. Neal Jeffrey, Rev. Jon Moore and Dr. Jack Graham officiating. In leiu of flowers donations in Dardy’s name may be made to TeamConnor Cancer Foundation 12221 Merit Drive suite 1500 Dallas, Tx 75251, and/or to Homer- Premier Foundation 1551 Corporate Drive Irving, Tx 75038; American Cancer Foundation(non-smokers lung).
