Mrs. Marie Louise Eubanks Moseley's Obituary
MOSELEY, MARIE LOUISE EUBANKS, Born November 17, 1911 in Steens, MS and passed away on December 31, 2007 in Dallas, TX. Mrs. Moseley is preceded in death by husband Laurie Moseley, Jr. who she married on September 16, 1939 in Birmingham, AL. Also, preceded in death by daughter Katherine LaRoe; four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Moseley received a BA degree from Mississippi State College for Women in 1932 and Master’s of Education degree from Oklahoma City University 1975. Mrs. Moseley was a certified medical lab and x-ray tech and medical photographer. Later, she received Montessori training and certification from St. Nicholas Training Center and the American Montessori Society. She taught Sunday school at St. John’s Episcopal Church and was a co-founder of St. John’s Episcopal Day School. Mrs. Moseley founded St. James’ Montessori School in 1968 and retired after serving as the Director for 25 years. She served as a board member of the Texas Episcopal Schools Association. Mrs. Moseley is a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution in Dallas. She is survived by her daughter Susie Jones and her husband Donald; her son Laurie Moseley, III and his wife Julia; sister Betty Crain and husband Jim; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 ‘ 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 848 Harter Road, Dallas, TX 78218. Mrs. Moseley was a member of this church since 1950, and in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to St. John’s.
