Marie Theresa Kosmoski's Obituary
Daughter of Italian immigrants, Savario and Margarita LoGalbo, Marie was born in Utica, NY on March 5, 1932. She graduated college from Oneonta Teachers College and taught elementary school for some time. She married Gene Kosmoski on September 18, 1952, who passed in 2008. They were married 56 years and raised 4 children in Houston, TX. They then moved to Corinthian Point, in Willis, TX, north of Lake Conroe, where they built their dream lake house. They spent their days with their children, grandchildren, taking them for tractor rides, pontoon boat rides, doing puzzles, playing cards, and hosting the annual neighborhood Christmas Party. After 10 years, they then settled in McKinney, TX, spending most of their time with their grandchildren, taking them to their sporting events and attending their many hockey games! Marie passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, after battling dementia for 10 years.
She is survived by her 4 children, son, Mark and his wife Theresa Kosmoski of Houston, TX, son, Dr. David Kosmoski of Irving, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Steve Cotton of Parker, TX, and son, Peter Kosmoski of Houston, TX, her only brother, Russell LoGalbo and his wife Carole, of North Port, FL and their 2 children, Janet and Steven LoGalbo. Marie was Nana to 5 grandsons, Matthew Kosmoski of Katy, TX, Michael Kosmoski of Midland, TX, Ryan Cotton of Scottsdale, AZ, Jason and his wife Gabbie Cotton of Boston, MA and David Cotton of Parker, TX. She was Gigi to 3 great grandchildren, Madison and McKenzie Kosmoski, identical twins, of Katy, TX and Ryan Kosmoski of Houston, TX.
Marie, loved to play Bingo, (5 times a week), enjoyed knitting, reading, listening to music, watching the Family Feud, traveling, playing cards, and going to watch her grandsons play hockey!
A Celebration of Life for Marie will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Her burial will be private.
