Dear Toni and Sue, So sad to read of your Mom’s passing. I was Mrs. Fletcher’s student teacher during the ’68 school year and was blessed to have Mrs. Pearson and Mrs. Fletcher as my observing teachers. Mrs. Fletcher retired in ’69 and, once again I was blessed to have your Mom across the hall. I think I spent most of my time running between the two rooms and asking, “Now, what do I do?” So many fond memories that stayed with me throughout 35 years of teaching first grade and being in the library at a school in Dallas. Thank you for sharing her with me and with so many others throughout her long and beautiful career.I have placed her name on my prayer list so that I can think of her every day.
