Marie Ryan Wallace's Obituary
Marie Ryan Wallace of Richardson, Texas passed away on June 12 while in the loving arms of her three children, Ruth Stauffer of Illinois, Frances Wallace of Dallas and George Wallace III, their spouses, Allen Stauffer and Ronica Staples, her grandchildren, Ginifer Ruby and Grant Wallace of Colorado, Christine Rhodes of Illinois and George Wallace IV of Richardson and one great-grandchild, Emma Ruby of Colorado. Her brother and wife, B.G. Ryan Jr and Kathleen Ryan of Houston and her sister, Barbara Stanley of Flonda also survive. Preceding her in death and waiting to greet her in heaven were her parents, Eulala Creel Ryan and B,G. Ryan Sr. Marie, born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, majored in Commercial Art at Arlington State (now University of Texas at Arlington) and Southern Methodist University, Dallas and continued to spread beauty in the world with her paintings and gift for interior design. She was a member of Richardson Art Society and served as Chairman for Art Exhibits and as Secretary in 1968. She was also member of Ridgewood Art Society of New Jersey. Marie won awards in regional and local area exhibitions as she raised her family in Texas, Louisiana and New Jersey returning to Texas in 1967. Marie retired from Texas Paint and Wallpaper. Spending her final days with new friends at The Plaza at Richardson brought joy to her and everyone she met. Her gift to the world was a loving, accepting and appreciative heart which blessed all she touched. Services will be held June 14, 12:3Opm-lpm at Restland Wildwood Chapel, 9220 Restland Rd, Dallas, Texas, and graveside in the Court of Freedom from 1pm to 1:30pm.
