This lovely lady exemplified so much that is good and true and kind. What a loss for those who knew her and loved her. I only spent a small amount of time with her but each time it was refreshing and encouraging and stimulating and I felt so welcomed. Blessing others was what she did and I am one who was blessed. She will be missed here and we look forward to celebrating with her and Jesus in Heaven when we are all reunited! Much love to her family.
Sorry to hear of her passing. She was one of my team members at Greenhill. I learned a great deal about teaching while observing her classroom. Jeff Devin
Thank you, Jeff.

While I only got to know her in the last few years, Marilyn was one the most active, engaged, inquiring learners I have ever met. She loved the Lord Jesus, and she wanted to understand the world He had created. She was intensely compassionate, committed to teaching those others might have overlooked, and thoughtful of the consequences of her actions. She loved people, but she loved words, and the worlds they could be used to construct, too.She was willing to do the hard work of understanding her faith, Exactly one year ago we were corresponding about the Roman emperor Diocletian and the cost of books. And she was reading Jewish history. She would tackle anything, it seemed, to understand what she believed so intensely in her spirit. She did not compartmentalize her faith, but she did not intellectualize it, either.Marilyn was a luminary example of someone who was alive to the world, intimately related to her Father, and undimmed by years, I'm sure there are a great cloud of us who will miss her. But now she is a part of the great cloud of witnesses whose memory spurs us on to 'run the race set before us with endurance.' (Hebrews 12:1)
Andrea, Lisa, and Brent, We are sorry to know of your mom's passing. We knew her many years ago as the Greenhill math teacher extraordinaire! It sounds like she continued to touch many lives of those around her through the years. We are grateful for her goodness, and we send thoughts and prayers of comfort to you and your family. Brianna, Kama, and Maia
Marilyn's curiosity about life and learning gave her a certain path to joy. I always loved to hear her talk about her own learning and how she in turn loved teaching her students and all her conversation partners. I sat on committees with her at Skillman Church of Christ and always found her thoughtful and creative in her approach to our tasks. I'm sorry for her loss. Charme Robarts, Fort Worth, TX
