Marilyn Sue Berlin's Obituary
Marilyn Sue Caldwell Berlin went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 after a long battle with Rheumatoid arthritis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Carl Caldwell, her two brothers, Tom and Bill, Son-in-law Jeff Forrest and one great grandchild, Evan Jackson. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry Berlin, her 3 kids, Sherri, Karla (Kevin) and Larry (Melanie), 9 grandkids: Aaron (Dani), Jessie, Wesley, Michael (Stephanie), Austin (Aimee), Whitney, Lauren, Brandon and Lily, 3 great grandkids: Amelia Jane, Noble Berlin, Oliver Michael and one sister, Dorothy.
Marilyn was born in Independence, Kansas 6/7/1940. She moved to Irving, Texas in 1952 at the age of 12. Five short years later, she met the man of her dreams, a boy from Duncanville Texas. Bud and Marilyn were married 11/14/1958 in Dallas Texas at the Hampton Place Church of God.
Marilyn, after a being a stay at home mom for many years, started working at O’Henry Elementary as a secretary. Later she moved to Berkner High school and was the attendance secretary. During these years she was very active in the kids activities from Brownies, to Band Club President and PTA where she was voted lifetime member. Her last job was working with Bud helping him run HEB and Associates Printing. They spent several years doing that until they sold the business and retired.
Her remaining years were spent enjoying her favorite tv shows, attending graduations and birthday parties and having dinners with all the family as she was able. She will be greatly missed by us all.
