Marilyn Soholt Burke, age 89, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019.Marilyn Soholt Burke was born on April 28, 1930 in Watertown, South Dakota to the parentage of Rudy and Leone Soholt and married John L. Burke, Jr. on August 3, 1952 in Watertown, South Dakota. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from SMU in 1952 and her Master’s Degree in Education from SMU in December of 1972. Marilyn was a member of numerous bridge groups, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and many social clubs, such as: Kallista Dance Club, Knife & Fork Dinner Club, Park City Club, Book Club and Deborah’s Circle Church Group. She also volunteered for Cerebral Palsy Charities.Marilyn Soholt Burke was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Burke, Jr.She is survived by her children: John Soholt Burke, Ellen Gay Burke, Sharon Lynn Burke and Kevin Thomas Harrison Burke; grandchildren: Linda Leone Carillo, John Soholt Burke, Jr. and Pamela Pauline Burke; 13 great grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.The family of Marilyn Soholt Burke will receive visitors on Wednesday, Decmber 4, 2019 from 1:00 -4:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, November 5, 2019 at 11:00 am in Restland’s Memorial Chapel. Restland is located at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75243 and can be reached at 972-238-7111.
