Mrs. Marilyn Laverne Hicks' Obituary
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away June 27, 2007 in Dallas, TX. Born December 3, 1924 in Blossom, TX. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Vera Box, brother R.B. Box. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Charles L. Hicks, daughter Judy Stone, grandchildren, Ed Stone, Michelle Collum, Nickole Wells, and 9 great-grandchildren, brothers, Dr. Clyde Box and Billy Wayne Webb, sisters, Linda Mentesana, Barbara Box and Marca Lou Burman. Marilyn was an entrepreneural business lady that over many years was owner/operator of many DFW area hotel gift shops, including such establishments as the old Cabana Hotel, NorthPark Inn, Hilton Galleria plus many others. Over the years she made many friends and was an example of class that many of us aspire to. She will always be remembered and missed.
