Marilyn Joyce Huff (Snider)'s Obituary
Marilyn Joyce Huff, of Carrollton, Texas was born April 14, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Clyde and Esther Snider, the eldest of three children. She passed away on October 23, 2021 in Dallas. She married Clifford Ray Huff, of Ben Wheeler, Texas on April 22, 1952 in Washington, DC.
Marilyn became a government secretary in Washington DC shortly after graduating from high school. Just before Christmas of 1951, two friends asked Cliff Huff for a ride to the train station. They invited another roommate along, Marilyn. Returning from the station, Cliff and Marilyn stopped at the Hot Shops for an orange freeze. He asked if she’d like to go for a drive the following day, she said yes. It turned out they were working in the same building. They were married four months later.
Marilyn was a proud military wife of 30 years and lifetime member of the Navy Wives Club. Together with Cliff, she traveled, saw much of the world including France, and raised four boys: Steven, Dennis, Donald, and David. She also loved and cared for five poodles. After living in many parts of the country: Maryland, Alaska, Colorado, California, and others, Marilyn and Cliff retired to Dallas in 1979, where they spent many years traveling the country in their RV.
