Marilyn Mae Patric's Obituary
Marilyn Mae Patric went joyfully to the Lord on Sunday July 21, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.
She was blessed with 95 years of life. Marilyn was one of 4 children born to Harold and
Carrie Lee in Boone, Iowa, where she grew up. In 1950 she moved to Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, where she met her husband, James (Jim) Patric. They were married December
27, 1953. In 1962 they moved to Carrollton, TX with their three children. Jim and Marilyn
were Charter Members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton which had its first
church service on November 27, 1966. Marilyn was a housewife which made it possible for
her to be a very involved volunteer at her church.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 4 siblings Ed Lee, Elaine Decker,
Caroline Diehl, Mable Meyer.
She is survived by her children Janet King (Gary Banner) Carrollton, TX, Carol Patric (John
Carroll) Leonard, TX, John Patric (Mary) Little Elm, TX, grandchildren Justin Carroll, Jason
Carroll, Pete Brandt and family, Jessica Price and family, sisters-in law Barbara Flynn and
Patsy Patric of Oklahoma City, and many nieces and nephews. She is loved by many and
will be missed.
A graveside service for Marilyn will be at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Thursday July 25,
2024 at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, on Wednesday
July 24, 2024.
