Marilyn Ruth Smith's Obituary
Marilyn Ruth Smith, 81 of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on January 16, 2020 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on January 4, 1939 to Albert W. and Ethel M. Alberts in Hildreth, Nebraska. She married Dennis Smith on March 1, 1959 in Hildreth, Nebraska. She was an Administrative Assistant at Braniff, Aviall, and G.E. Marilyn will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her ex-spouse Dennis Smith, her parents Albert and Ethel Alberts, Debra Denise Smith, Dennis C. Smith Jr., and infant son of Dennis and Marilyn Smith.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Vicki Martinez and husband Victor Martinez, her son Gary Smith and wife Lee Ann, her older sister LaVonne Alberts-Portz of Wichita, Kansas, her older brother Gary Alberts and sister-in-law Sherry Alberts, her younger brother Alan Alberts and sister-in-law Karen Alberts of Hildreth, Nebraska, and her grandchildren Crissa Martinez, Joseph Martinez, and Morgan Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Restland Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
