Dick Leurig
I ran across this tribute page by accident and it brought back many memories as I had not heard from her or knew of her life after 1952. In 1950-1952 I knew her when she went to NTSU and she was with her family in Durango and Albuquerque. Met her while my family and her family were stay at both places at a motel. We did some fishing together, wrote some letters, wondered if we would see each other living far apart, I even wrote a poem as I called her "taffy", and visited her and her parents in Dallas on one trip.. But other than good friends for that short time, we were living too far apart. Then I got married and she got married; but I did not know what course her life took later. . But I will always remember her family and the fun we had for a few weeks fishing in New Mexico. Attached is a photo of those times that I found with many of my older papers, so I tried to see what happened to her and her parents. May even have some letters we wrote, although not sure as I go through so many things accumulated by my own family. Although I have not seen or heard from her since 1952, it is good to see she had many loving children as that is what all of us wish, and to pass values on to the future. Sorry for the strange intrusion, but could not resist passing on the photo as it may be useful to some in the family (I really do not like to throw away photos!).
