Kathy Murray
I had the privilege of knowing Marilyn over the past few years and was fortunate to attend her class at the Park City Club, as well as play mah-jongg in the group she so thoughtfully created there.
Marilyn was exceptionally organized, with a remarkable attention to detail—not only in the way she ran her group, but also in the way she presented herself. She carried herself with a quiet confidence and a clear sense of purpose. More importantly, she was deeply caring and considerate, always making sure that everyone around her felt comfortable, included, and well taken care of.
I was in Europe for a month during the time of her passing and only learned of it today. I had written to her several times to thank her for introducing me to mah-jongg, and it is deeply saddening to realize I will not have the chance to see her again.
She made a lasting impression on me, and I will always remember her with great respect and gratitude.
My heartfelt condolences go out to her beloved husband, Bud, her daughters, and to all whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
