Marilynn Jane Sampson's Obituary
SAMPSON, MARILYN JANE MILLER 89, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away September 1, 2013 at her home in Carrollton, Texas. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 16, 1923, the daughter of Jack “Doc” and Ethel Miller. She married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Sampson, in July 1943. She spent 33 years working as an Executive Secretary for the federal government in Dallas, Texas. Her passions in life were traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her memory lives on through the legendary stories about her, which the family will share and laugh about for generations to come. She is survived by daughter, Deb Vickery and husband, Michael Vickery; granddaughter, Jacqueline Vickery and husband, Joshua Vickery; granddaughter, Jennifer Skertich and husband, Josh Skertich, and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn. She is also survived by three nieces, Terri McAuliff, Sherri Lauderdale and Jackie Bennett and their families. She is predeceased by husband, Bob Sampson and sister, Joyce Farr. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial services will be held Wednesday, Septmeber 4, 2013 at 12:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas, Texas.
