Mr. Marinus Spieker's Obituary
SPIEKER, MARINUS ‘MACK’, was born August 14, 1916 and passed away January 29, 2008. Mack was one of the last of his kind. He proudly served with distinction during WW II in the Pacific Theatre with the U.S. Navy. Mack had a strong passion for reading and studying science. He was a self-taught engineer, who worked without a college degree yet still solved highly complex mathematical and scientific problems, working with semi conductors, and several top projects. He was employed at TI for 30 years, retiring as a senior engineer. Mack is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Those left to celebrate his life include his loving wife of 61 years, Christina Spieker, who he met in Amsterdam; daughter, Sandra Spieker Ringo and husband, Danny; step-daughter, Mieke Monasch; grandson, Aaron Ringo; brothers, Ben, Bill, and Pete; sisters, Anna and Mary; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mack’s hobbies included genealogy, wood working, and listening to the opera. In his final years he wrote his memoir for his family to always remember his story.
