Marion Beth Renz's Obituary
Marion Beth (Corbin) Renz was born on November 18, 1935 in Gainesville, Texas to Wiley Elbert “Eb” and Lena Maude Corbin. She passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023.
Beth attended Gainesville High School, graduating in 1954. She then completed her Bachelor of Arts in Library Service at the University of North Texas.
She worked for the Dallas Independent School District as a librarian. It was there that she met Jack Robinson Renz. They were married in 1959 and had two sons; Marcus, born in 1965, and Todd, born in 1967. Jack and Beth were married for 41 loving years before his death in 2000.
Beth was a member of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted Christian and read her Bible daily.
Beth was beautiful inside and out, and took pride in taking care of herself. She liked her “sweets” and enjoyed spending time with the people she loved.
Beth was preceded in death by her father Wiley Corbin, her mother Lena Maude Linn, her stepfather and "Poppa" to Marcus and Todd, Paul Linn, and her husband Jack.
Beth is survived by her sons Marcus (Angelia) and Todd (Chandra). She also leaves behind four grandchildren. Taylor Mae Renz (Dylan Stamas), Lucas Gregory, Kyle Gregory and Jackson Renz. She is also survived by her cousin Bobby Pritchett.
The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospital for their wonderful care of Beth in her final days.
A private burial at Restland is planned for next week. A family celebration will be held at a later date.
