Marion Edith Whitacre's Obituary
WHITACRE, MARION, 92 years young, died peacefully on May 15, 2008, while in hospice care at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. The previous two weekends, Marion celebrated her birthday (May 4) and Mother’s Day with her family. Marion toasted to life until the end. Preceded in death by her husband, Jim Whitacre, Marion is survived by her daughters, Sue Miller, Jan Whitacre, and Joan Harris; her grandchildren, Jeff Miller, Michelle Copeland, Greg Miller, and Ryan Harris; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Olivia Miller, Blake, Brandon, and Beth Copeland, Sarah C. and Will Miller, and Grant, Cole, and Avery Harris. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. Pallbearers are Jeff, Greg, and Bill Miller, Ryan and John Harris, and Brad Copeland.
