Marjorie Armstrong's Obituary
ARMSTRONG, MARJORIE completed her earthly walk on November 7, 2012 in Kingwood, Texas, at the age of 99 years, and 5 months. She has flown the fetters of time into eternity. Marjorie was born May 15, 1913 to I. Jeff Goodnight and Addie (Walden) Goodnight in Holland, Texas. She was stricken with crippling polio as a child, reared in Salado, Texas, and graduated high school there before moving to Dallas in 1936. She married William Lee Armstrong who served as Assistant City Secretary for the City of Dallas for many years. No children were born to that union of 50 years. Marjorie is survived by two of eleven siblings, sister, Catherine Buckley of Palestine, Texas, and brother, William B. “Buck” Maynard of Clanton, Alabama. Marjorie was a member of the First Methodist Church in Dallas where she and her husband were faithful and active members.
