Marjorie Norma Bridges' Obituary
BRIDGES,MARJORIE N. Passed away April 7, 2007 of complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born July 29, 1917 in Ontario, Canada. She moved to Chicago, Ill with her family when she was in elementary school. She became a citizen of the United States when she was in her early twenties. She attended Broadway Methodist Church in Chicago where she met and married James Bridges. They moved to Dallas in 1956. They joined Walnut Hill United Methodist Church that year and have been members ever since. The church has been an important part of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved gardening and bird watching. Marjorie was an honorary member of the Book Haven Book Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Bridges. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Cockrell, Becky McKevitt and husband, Gerald McKevitt; grandson, Brian McKevitt and wife, Courtney. We would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff and caregivers of Autumn Leaves of Carrollton, who have been her family these last three years.
