Marjorie Nell Lazuka's Obituary
Marjorie ‘Mimi’ Lazuka, born on April 9, 1934 in Bloomburg Tx, passed on from this earth peacefully in her sleep at home on Dec 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Donald F. Lazuka, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Hammond and son in law Johnny of Dallas; Son Donald F Lazuka, III and daughter in law, Diana of McKinney; grandchildren Sarah Saba and husband Eric of Sanger; Jessica Lazuka of Pflugerville, Marley Mercker and husband Joe of Richardson; and Donald Lazuka, IV of Lubbock; great grand children Elizabeth Grace Saba, Mason Henry Mercker, and Emily Nell Saba, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear longtime friends.Marjorie grew up on a berry farm in the small town of Bloomburg, Tx and was the youngest of seven children. In high school, she was voted basketball sweetheart and adored by many. After high school graduation, she moved to Dallas to attend secretarial school, where soon after she met her future husband. After they married in 1955, they settled in Casa View and had Donald III and Diane. In 1963, they moved to Northwood Hills, where she remained in the same home for the next 54 years. She was loved by many and truly treasured by all. The lack of her earthly presence will be deeply missed.There will be a funeral service on Thursday, December 14, 2017 beginning at 3:00PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
